As an “I” person, I really enjoy traveling alone. Immediately after returning to China, I booked a trip to Shanghai. Let me share my itinerary for my first visit to Shanghai. I’m the kind of person who makes an itinerary one day in advance and just go for it after a little planning!

Day 1: I arrived in the afternoon. According to the guides on Xiaohongshu, I took the subway to Iapm Huanyu and stored my luggage. Then a friend took me to Yuyuan Road to drink coffee and have Benbang cuisine at Renheguan. In the evening, I checked into the Orange Hotel near Disneyland. It is highly recommended. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus. Just book it when you check in.
Day 2: A military-style trip to Disneyland. Based on the principle of not making myself suffer, I bought an 8-item fast pass. The overall experience was excellent. I visited more than 10 projects! The advantage of coming alone is that you don’t have to accommodate others at all. You can play whatever you want. At noon, you can leave the park and have a meal in Disneyland Town, which is more cost-effective. There are also many milk tea shops, and you can bring drinks into the park. Unfortunately, the 3 pm parade was canceled due to rain. 😢 In the Disneyland store, there are many people with annual passes. They can help buy things, and then you can get goods at a 10% discount. 😝 Because annual pass holders can get a 20% discount. I think it’s pretty good. 👍
Day 3: Shanghai city walk. After checking out, I checked into a hotel one subway stop away from Nanjing Road. First, I went to Nanjing Road and had Xiaolongbao at Lailei. Then I walked from Anfu Road all the way to Wukang Mansion on Wukang Road. After taking a break at the hotel, I went to the Bund around 8 pm. It was really shocking.
Day 4: I had a high-speed train back to Wuhan in the afternoon. So I got up early and went to the North Bund. The park is really very beautiful. I recommend everyone to come in the early morning. There is no one at all and it’s very photogenic. Then I went near Jing’an Temple and had a meal at Huxi Old Noodle Restaurant. The pork liver is so delicious. I ordered noodle soup. It feels relatively light. I still recommend dry noodles. Later, I went to Jing’an Temple and took a photo and left.
💸💸💸Expenses in Shanghai💸💸💸
High-speed train round trip: ¥650
Accommodation for three nights: ¥400 – 400 – 500 = ¥1300
Disneyland ticket: ¥1700 (ticket + fast pass)
Disneyland consumption: ¥680 (PhotoPass + souvenirs + two meals)
Transportation: Basically subway travel (¥20), took a taxi twice (¥130)
Food and drink: ¥500
Shopping: ¥600
Approximately: ¥5500
Summary: I am very happy! Compared to Australia, I don’t have to worry about travel safety or transportation convenience at all. It’s a super great experience. I really like Shanghai.
I’m a little curious. As a milk tea fanatic, I feel that there are very few milk tea shops on the street in Shanghai. Instead, there are extremely many coffee shops.
