Parents are going to play in Tianjin on the weekend. The central idea is to be relaxed, eat delicious food and have fun. So let’s start.
Day①
🚄Beijing South Station → Tianjin Station (10:25 – 11:00)
1️⃣After getting out of Tianjin Station, first stroll to the Century Clock and Jiefang Bridge to take photos and check in✅ (500 meters) → After the check-in, head to the Italian Style Tourism Area (900 meters)
Tour order: Italian Style Street → Porcelain House (1.9 kilometers by taxi) → Eileen Chang’s Former Residence (158 meters) → Zhang Xueliang’s Former Residence (68 meters) → Go to the Five Avenues to have a meal (1.8 kilometers by taxi). PS: Personally, I think it’s okay to just take a photo in front of the Porcelain House.
2️⃣Since the hotel is booked near the Five Avenues, I chose the more classic Tianjin flavor 【Guiyuan Restaurant. Five Avenues Branch】
There are both good and bad online reputations, but everyone’s tastes are different. Only by trying it yourself can you know. Recommended dishes: Fried carp with a net, Eight-treasure tofu, Tianjin old stir-fried tripe, Chrysanthemum eggplant, Sesame paste cake. Parents’ feedback: The portion is large and the taste is good, but there are a bit too many people.
3️⃣After the meal, go to the hotel🏩 to check in and rest. Since parents have the habit of taking a nap, I chose the Oriental Hotel with an ancient architectural style near the restaurant. It’s not expensive in the off-season either.💰242
4️⃣After resting, go for a citywalk in the Five Avenues Tourism Block🏃: (The total length of the block is 17 kilometers. It’s an ancient building complex. It is recommended to scan a bicycle and stroll around)
🕒Tour duration: 1 hour. Route recommendation: Xiaobailou → Pan Fu’s Former Residence → Hebei Road → Chongqing Road → Qingwang Mansion → Minyuan Square → Geda Building → Munan Road → Dali Road
①Minyuan Square: The Internet-famous landmark of the Five Avenues, European-style architecture (There is a tourist center here where you can get a map)
②Geda Building: The sister building of the Porcelain House. You can’t visit inside.
③Qingwang Mansion: The former residence of Prince Qing. Ticket price: 25 yuan/person
④Munan Mansion: Characteristic building
⑤Pan Fu’s Former Residence: Western classical architecture. You can’t enter.
5️⃣Depart from the Five Avenues → Tianjin Eye (6.7 kilometers, by taxi)
①Tianjin Eye🎡80 yuan/person. If there are many people, you can also stroll along the Haihe River.
②You can experience the double-decker sightseeing bus🚎 – Tianjin Eye Station (88 yuan for two people, 45 minutes) to tour Tianjin. There is an explanation. You can buy tickets right at the Tianjin Eye. ps: There is also a stop at the Italian Style Street. Choose according to the tour order.
6️⃣After visiting the Tianjin Eye, go to Binjiang Road Pedestrian Street (4.9 kilometers) → Xikai Church (600 meters next to the pedestrian street) → Back to the hotel (2.2 kilometers)
①Binjiang Road Pedestrian Street: The center of Tianjin and the most prosperous area.
②You can have dinner on the pedestrian street: Recommended restaurants are Chen Shazi Restaurant or Hutong Xiaoguan (Parents finally chose Chen Shazi Restaurant and said that the crab roe buns and silver thread rolls are good).DAY ②
Tour order: Northwest Corner (5.7 kilometers, you can experience the subway: Direct access by Line 1) → Drum Tower (1 kilometer) → Ancient Culture Street (1 kilometer) → Go home from Tianjin Station (5 kilometers)
①Have breakfast early in the Northwest Corner (The most characteristic breakfast and snacks in Tianjin): Ding’s old-fashioned rolled cake, Second Sister’s fried cake, old-fashioned fried dough sticks, sugar-oiled cake, pancake with fried dough sticks, tea soup in the Northwest Corner.
