Xitang Travel Guide: Everything You Need to Know

🚄 How to Get to Xitang:

• By High-Speed Train: Get off at Jiashan South Station (take bus K222).
• By Train: Get off at Jiashan Station.
• By Bus: Arrive at Jiashan Bus Terminal (take bus K215).
• By Car: During weekends, the first parking lot tends to be crowded. It’s recommended to arrive early and park at the 3rd or 6th parking lot.

• Entry ticket: 95 RMB for adults, half price for students. It’s cheaper to buy tickets online.

• Qianyuman Retro View Restaurant: This is the most popular place in Xitang! It opens at 5 PM, and people start lining up early. The rooftop terrace has stunning views of Songzi Laifeng Bridge and the boat docks. Don’t miss their giant handmade Lion’s Head meatballs, bamboo net duck, and grandma’s braised pork feet with boiled eggs.
• Linxiao Restaurant: Located on Taowan Street along the Misty Rain Corridor, you can enjoy authentic Hangzhou cuisine while taking in the scenery. Signature dishes include spicy bullfrog, pan-fried ribbon fish, and farm-style chicken hot pot. Budget around 80-90 RMB per person.

1. The most convenient way to go to Xitang is by high-speed rail. High-speed rail station: Jiashan South, then transfer to bus K222; railway station: Jiashan Station, then transfer to bus K210.
2. There are many illegal taxis soliciting passengers at the exit of the south station. These taxis are usually shared rides. If you are really in a hurry and have to take one, bargain hard.
3. The buses in Jiashan have free periods. From 7 to 9 am in the morning and from 4:30 to 7:00 pm.
4. The full-day ticket for Xitang is 95 yuan per person, and half price for students.
5. Now, before 8 am and after 5 pm are free (except on holidays, this is the time currently).
6. Try not to come to Xitang on legal holidays. There are really too many people!
7. The cherry blossom blooming period in Xitang is at the end of March and early April. It is estimated that after the Qingming Festival, they will all fall.
