We arrived at Kunming Airport at 9 am. We planned to play in Kunming for one day and then take the high-speed rail to Dali in the evening. Due to the short time, we chose to play at nearby scenic spots.
Tour route 1: Landing at the airport – Dianchi Lake Haigeng Dam – Haihong Wetland Park – Dianchi Lake Dounan Flower Market.
Tour route 2: Army Lecture Hall – Cuihu Lake – Huanggong East Street – Abnormal Coffee – Duìyuè Tower – Kunming Old Street – Aocheng Building.
Haigeng Dam: We planned to go to Haigeng Dam to feed seagulls and take pictures. As a result, there were none when we arrived. Probably they were full. However, I took pictures of people feeding seagulls. Then I can P them on an app. (From October to March is suitable for feeding seagulls.)

Boating in Haihong Wetland: Experience boating and taking pictures in the woods. The red firs in October are so beautiful. When rowing to the middle of the lake and being irradiated by the sun, it’s really good for taking pictures and also very fun. It costs 90 yuan for an hour. A boat can seat two people. But if you exceed the time, you need to pay extra. Just calculate your time well.

Dounan Flower Market: Don’t buy flowers immediately as soon as you enter Dounan. Walk around a few more times and compare. It’s simply a paradise for girls because it’s so beautiful.

Accommodation recommendations:

Near Huancheng South Road subway station (the intersection of subway lines 1 and 2).
Near Tangzixiang subway station (convenient for eating and not far from the night market).
Near Wuyi Road subway station (close to Wuyi Road, Nanping Street, and Jinguo Street)

Food recommendations:

Juan’er Small Pot Rice Noodles: Near Kunming Station. It’s a small pot rice noodle shop that has been open for more than ten years. Super delicious!

Xiangkoufu: Fried chicken legs, fried fish rolls, meatballs, various snacks. Locals love it very much!

Avoid Stone Forest because it is far away and requires a 130 yuan ticket!

Other recommended check-in scenic spots:

Aocheng Building: Kunming’s very popular large circular ring. You can take great pictures. Enter A2 and take the elevator to the 6th floor!
